Da Vinci Cleaning Instruments

Procedures with Da Vinci instruments can only stay safe and prevent infections when the cleaning instruments support a controlled, repeatable reprocessing workflow for the complex robotic instrument designs. Da Vinci instruments have tight interfaces and hard-to-reach areas where soil can persist if point-of-use handling, timing, brushing/flushing, and load setup are inconsistent. Delays and incomplete cleaning can also increase the risk of biofilm formation, making biofilm cleaning more difficult and increasing the chance that residues remain in seams, joints, or narrow features. They are used to structure critical cleaning steps, reduce operator-to-operator variation, and help ensure instruments enter subsequent disinfection in a standardized condition.
